Abstract
URCIAGA GARCIA, José and ALMENDAREZ HERNANDEZ, Marco Antonio. Determinación de los salarios y rendimientos de la escolaridad en la región Mar de Cortés. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2006, vol.35, n.138, pp.37-53. ISSN 0185-2760.
Results suggest that education is still the main source of income improvement; they show that salaries are closely related to a higher education level, higher salaries to higher level of studies. Moreover, private profitability calculations for the Mar de Cortés region locate it around 10%, yield associated to postgraduate studies are higher than any other education level. On the other hand, a clearly defined territorial pattern is provided in which borderline cities such as Tijuana and Mexican register higher income as compared to individuals who live in regions with lower relative development.
