Abstract

MONZON LAURENCIO, Luis Antonio. The blog and the development of argumentation and collaborative work skills. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2011, vol.33, n.131, pp.80-93. ISSN 0185-2698.

An intervention-research was developed in two groups of an ethics class of private college students, in order to observe if the use of this technology could help the students develop their argumentation and collaborative work skills. First of all, a brief theoretical framework that supported the intervention is exposed. Secondly, the proposed objectives were presented for measurement based on six indicators. Later, the result of each one of them is presented, including hypothesis related to the reason why those that failed did so and the actions taken subsequently to solve those failures. Last, general conclusions are presented as well as advices to use blogs.

Keywords : Information and communications technology (ICT); argumentation; collaborative work; blogs.
