Abstract

ROJAS-VELASQUEZ, Diana. Emotions, Human Interaction and Power: Comments on Social Cognition and the Second Person in Human Interaction, by Diana Pérez and Antoni Gomila. Diánoia [online]. 2023, vol.68, n.90, pp.133-141.  Epub Oct 30, 2023. ISSN 0185-2450.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iifs.18704913e.2023.90.1998.

In these comments, I highlight some virtues of Diana Pérez and Antoni Gomila’s proposal in Social Cognition and the Second Person in Human Interaction and formulate two questions. The first one is about the role of basic emotions in one-on-one interactions at the group and intergroup levels. The second one concerns the influence of positions of power on human relationships and how they alter or modify mindreading.

Keywords : emotion; mental states; group interaction; dynamic loop.
