Abstract

ESPEJEL ESPINOZA, Alberto. Phases of factionalism: The case of the Democratic Revolution Party. Estud. polít. (Méx.) [online]. 2012, n.26, pp.81-104. ISSN 0185-1616.

This article is a reflection about the definition of fractions and their role in political parties, conceived them as a phenomenon to understand the intraparty dynamic during the processes of leaders selection. It raises some ideas for the Democratic Revolution Party case from 1989 to 2011, and exposes the incidents happened while the leadership selection process took place in 1990, 1993, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2011.
