Abstract

VILLA AGUILERA, Manuel. México, democratización de espuma: sin participación ni representación. Estud. polít. (Méx.) [online]. 2010, n.20, pp.11-28. ISSN 0185-1616.

Mexico's political liberalization has achieved only the first step, which is the alternation of parties in the year 2000. Political reforms since 1997 have had small success, they have actually created new distortions. The author proposes that the problem is not only at the institutional level, it just reproduces it, what is needed is to develop adequately the model to build the representation and its base, new ways of organization and citizen participation.

Keywords : Political representation; citizen participation; mexican political system; democratic transition.
