Abstract

RUIZ LOPEZ, Cinthia Fabiola. El proyecto ciudades rurales sustentables y el involucramiento de sus habitantes. Nueva antropol [online]. 2016, vol.29, n.85, pp.102-125. ISSN 0185-0636.

In 2007 the government of the state of Chiapas implemented the project Sustainable Rural Cities (CRS) which proposed rearranging the towns of Ostuacán and Santiago El Pinar into population centers with infrastructure, basic services and housing. The inhabitants of these communities accepted the resources brought by the Project, but in the end these resources did not contribute to improving their quality of life. This research explores the various ways in which the recipients participated and used the resources brought in by the CRS Project.

Keywords : Resettlement; daily life; forms of involvement; social participation; public policy.
