Abstract
TERRACIANO, Kevin. Narratives of the Conquest of Mexico from Tlatelolco. Estud. cult. náhuatl [online]. 2014, vol.47, pp.211-235. ISSN 3061-8002.
This essay examines a text from Tlatelolco, written in Nahuatl, known by the Spanish-language title "List of Rulers", which is considered part of the Annals of Tlatelolco. The narrative recounts how Cuauhtemoc and other tlatoque went with Cortés to Honduras, where the Nahua leaders were murdered unjustly, followed by the sudden appearance of two valiant warriors from Tlatelolco. The analysis locates the same two heroes in Book XII of the Florentine Codex, and considers their importance in the oral tradition and social memory of the Tlatelolca.
