Abstract

MONSERRAT MOLAS, Josep. Cognitive Processes and Political Criticism: An Enlightened Politics in the Platonic Sense?. Crítica (Méx., D.F.) [online]. 2011, vol.43, n.129, pp.31-52.  Epub May 12, 2020. ISSN 0011-1503.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iifs.18704905e.2011.787.

The tension between an oligarchical and a democratic conception of politics is parallel to the tension between an elitist or a universalist conception of knowledge. Both poles of both tensions are, in the platonic text Statesman, related to the complexity of the nautical metaphor that governs the political argument.

Keywords : knowledge; socio-cultural system; enlightenment; politics; Platonism.
