Abstract

In this research, the consequences of international migration are analyzed in an indigenous location: Zinacantân, a Tzotzil community in the state of Chiapas. The following repercussions are specifically studied: on language, on the conformation of new economic structures, on reproduction guidelines, on the new places for socio-cultural pattern reproduction, on the charges system, on ceremonial life, agricultural systems, rural work organization, on family structure, on social relations networks, education, communal organization, and on the symbolic sphere.
