El estudio incluyó datos de precipitación, ubicación, extensión, duración y profundidad de las zonas inundadas, así como los elementos expuestos a nivel de manzana. Se identificaron 67 eventos, vinculados principalmente con ondas tropicales y frentes fríos. Las precipitaciones diarias superiores a 47.6 mm y una intensidad máxima mayor a 57 mm/h son umbrales críticos de peligro de inundación para los residentes de Proterritorio y evidencian la vulnerabilidad del área ante eventos hidrometeorológicos extremos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Between 1993 and 2023, the evolution and distribution of micro-urban rainfall flooding in the neighborhood of Proterritorio, Quintana Roo, Mexico, associated with hydrometeorological phenomena, was analyzed. The study included data on precipitation, location, extent, duration, and depth of flooded areas, as well as elements exposed at the block level. Sixty-seven events were identified, primarily linked to tropical waves and cold fronts. Daily rainfall exceeding 47.6 mm and a maximum intensity above 57 mm/h are critical flood hazard thresholds for Proterritorio residents and highlight the area&#8217;s vulnerability to extreme hydrometeorological events.]]></p></abstract>
