This journal aims to be the meeting place for the efforts being made in Mexico and Latin America to create a Sociology specifically dedicated to the analysis of the problems of this region of the world. The migration problem, population movements, the State issue, the role of unionism as well as the evolution of Urban Studies are some of the topics addressed by this publication edited by the Center of Sociological Studies (Centro de Estudios Sociológicos) of El Colegio de México.
