Standard ceftriaxone solution was prepared by dissolving 0.00625 g of pure drug in water and diluted to 25 mL with distilled water to get stock solution (250 μgmL-1). Similarly, 250 μgmL-1 stock solution of cefaclor was prepared by dissolving 0.00625 g in water on gentle warming and diluted to 25 mL with distilled water. The working standards were prepared by dilution of appropriate volume of stock solutions with mobile phase. The artificial drug mixture, for optimization studies, was prepared by mixing standard stock solution of both the drugs in 1:1 (concentration units).
