REYNA-ORTEGA, Julio O. y CISNEROS-TINOCO, Miguel A.. Renal artery aneurysm during transplant: case presentation and literature review. Rev. mex. angiol. [online]. 2025, vol.53, n.2, pp.81-85. Epub 29-Ago-2025. ISSN 2696-130X. https://doi.org/10.24875/rma.24000056.
Marginal organs can be used as safe options for organ transplantation in patients awaiting organ donation, increasing the transplant rate, which is one of the objectives established by organizations dedicated to kidney transplantation. Within this definition, we find kidneys with the presence of renal artery aneurysms, in which we can perform an anatomical reconstruction for their posterior implantation while keeping graft patency, glomerular filtration rate, and risk of graft rejection similar to non-marginal organs, as shown in the presented case.
