Studies on discrimination as a form of inequality have become more important in México due to advances in the institutionalization of the right to non-discrimination, and the adoption of new laws and public policies designed to guarantee this right for population groups whose human rights have historically been violated. The case of female domestic workers is of particular interest because, even though significant progress in recognizing their rights has been made in recent years, they are still a discriminated group suffering the consequences of practices that reproduce and normalize structural discrimination and limit the exercise of their rights.
