This article assesses the impact of Mexican federal social programs from 2018 to2022 on female-headed households, focusing on monetary transfers such as Benito Juárez Scholarships, the Pension for Older Adults, and the Support Program for Working Mothers. Based on ENIGH 2018 and 2022 data, a microsimulation methodology is applied to estimate poverty and extreme poverty levels before and after public transfers, as well as a redesigned scenario with per-child benefits. Regional disparities are analyzed, revealing varying effects depending on territorial context. Results show a significant poverty reduction, especially in the per-child transfer scenario, though structural inequalities still affect these households. The study aims to inform the redesign of social policies from a gender and territorial perspective.
