ROSAS ARELLANO, Jarumy; RODRIGUEZ HERNANDEZ, Edgar Ricardo y CORTES MARTINEZ, Paula Itzel. Municipal agenda to deal With the covid-19 pandemic: the case of the state of Jalisco. Carta econ. reg. [online]. 2022, vol.35, n.130, pp.105-133. Epub 01-Oct-2024. ISSN 2683-2852. https://doi.org/10.32870/cer.v0i130.7850.
The objective of this article is to analyze the incorporation of the attention given to the covid-19 pandemic as an additional element on the agenda of the municipal governments of Jalisco, on the basis of identifying and characterizing the actions and programs that were designed and implemented during the year 2020 and to define whether these responded to the powers granted by the state government during the management of the pandemic or to local social, economic and governmental characteristics. Through a review of different official information channels, the actions taken were identified and categorized. The results made it possible to define that the majority of the municipalities implemented actions of prevention, but these were adopted in response to the attributions defined by the state government. On the other hand, actions that arose from municipal initiatives were identified, without however showing a clear trend that would allow us to conclude that the actions taken responded to local characteristics.
