TANORI VILLA, Arcelia y PEREZ MENDEZ, Martha. Monitoring and evaluation of climate change adaptation, focused on learning: state of the art. Carta econ. reg. [online]. 2021, vol.33, n.127, pp.7-24. Epub 27-Sep-2024. ISSN 2683-2852. https://doi.org/10.32870/cer.v0i127.7802.
The learning process constitutes one of the most important objectives of monitoring and evaluation of climate change adaptation (M&E-ACC), due to the knowledge (for this evaluation), reflection and criticism that is generated. This article analyses the role of the learning process in the M&E-ACC, and highlights its importance in the development of strategies and actions in order to reduce the vulnerability, enhance the adaptive capacities, identify the risks and strengthen the resilience of the natural and social systems, as well as in the construction of new models of intervention to confront the impact of climate change. For the preparation of this report, the use of information from a survey carried out by the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change (INECC) was incorporated, in order to analyse various approaches and methodologies focused on the M&E-ACC.
