It’s of interest to show the significance of archives in the Caribbean cultural space and what this represents for literary projects, based on an examination of the forms of reflection on the past from the Caribbean presents for Caribbean intellectuals. In this way, the value of Caribbean literature is postulated in its assumption of the task of imagining the past that goes through various forms: intervening the archive, imagining the archive, forming archives of lives that matter.
