Resumen

HUERTA GONZALEZ, Rodolfo. Three models of teaching history, three paths for the teaching of Clio. Debates hist. [online]. 2025, vol.13, n.2, pp.101-132.  Epub 08-Sep-2025. ISSN 2594-2956.  https://doi.org/10.54167/debates-por-la-historia.v13i2.1881.

This paper discusses three models for teaching History in Basic Education that may be applied within the recently implemented Nueva Escuela Mexicana (NEM), which focuses on situated teaching through educational content centered in family, community, and regional contexts. A documentary analysis of three models was conducted: Historical Education, Pedagogical Reasoning, and the local/regional history approach of the Humanities Curricular Project. The study concludes that these models can complement one another, supported by the use of primary sources, historical concepts for learning, and the specific pedagogical knowledge required for the teaching of history.
