The main objective of this paper is to delve into the historical development and specificities of inclusive education in Mexico. For this purpose, at first, we outline in a synthetic way the main conjunctures in the development of inclusive education in the Mexican context. Secondly, the legal framework is characterized, linked to the exercise of the right to education in its inclusion dimension. Finally, a set of reflections are proposed that is critical to the specific features of the development of educational inclusion in Mexico.
