This study explores the challenges that female academics face managing their time between productive and reproductive work. The information collected from a survey and a focus group that we applied to academics from the Universidad Michoacana showed that domestic responsibilities affect their productivity, well-being, and professional development, and that the lack of institutional support and work overload aggravated the situation. We concluded that conciliation continues to be a structural challenge that requires policies on equity and inclusion in the academy.
