ALVAREZ, Clara-Luz y SOBERANES DIEZ, José María. Digital justice platforms in Mexico and the right to judicial information. Estud. derecho inf. [online]. 2025, n.20, pp.3-38. Epub 08-Dic-2025. ISSN 2594-0082. https://doi.org/10.22201/iij.25940082e.2025.20.19648.
This article presents and analyzes the current state of digital justice platforms both in the state judiciaries and in the Federal Judiciary (PJF). The research is based on information requests submitted through the National Transparency Platform (PNT) and direct consultations on the websites of the PJF and the judicial branches of the Mexican states. Additionally, administrative regulations governing digital justice platforms were reviewed. This study contributes to the academic discussion by providing an updated and systematic analysis of the disparities between federal and state-level digital justice systems, highlighting the role of online judicial proceedings as a mechanism to enhance transparency and access to information. The findings reveal significant inequalities in the implementation and functionality of digital platforms among state judiciaries, underscoring the need for greater technological integration and policy standardization. This research fills a gap in the literature by offering empirical evidence on the effectiveness of digital justice initiatives in Mexico and proposing areas for further development to ensure broader and more equitable access to judicial information.
