Disruptive technologies such as blockchain have shaken social interactions, in the public sphere, the fundamental right to an identity, and the conception of citizenship is being reinterpreted from a globalized perspective, making public administrations develop innovative technological models of identity that enhance citizen participation in the digital context, guaranteeing greater transparency and accountability. In this regard, this research investigates the opportunities of implementation of blockchain in the single digital authenticator in Mexico City from a legal perspective, as an instrument to guarantee the identity of citizens.
