Abstract
CARDENAS SANCHEZ, José and GILDO DE LA CRUZ, María Gabriela. Institutional Effectiveness of the independent organizations accountability: the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) Case. Estud. derecho inf. [online]. 2024, n.17, pp.35-59. Epub Sep 06, 2024. ISSN 2594-0082. https://doi.org/10.22201/iij.25940082e.2024.17.18781.
the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) is an organism created to guarantee the access to public information and to protect our fundamental freedom with the necessary instruments to supervise and control the government, through a system of transparency that permits to expose cases of opacity and corruption to the public opinion. To finally evaluate the previous, the efficiency of this institution is being analyzed from its structural design to the impact it has had on governmental democracy in Mexico. To accomplish this goal, the proposal of Ackerman, to examine the independent organisms accountability (OPI), is being followed. The results indicate that the quality of efficiency guarantees to institution to be a counterweight and control towards the government, notwithstanding the disparagement of transparency during this six-year term.
