Abstract

GONZALEZ LOPEZ, Eugenia Michelle. Analogical Hermeneutics and Comparative Literature: An Approach to Border Disciplines. Interpret. Rev. herméneut [online]. 2024, vol.9, n.2, pp.87-105.  Epub Oct 23, 2024. ISSN 2448-864X.  https://doi.org/10.19130/iifl.irh.2024.2/010s2701wo575.

This article draws a parallel between analogical hermeneutics and comparative literature. It intends to reveal the contributions and complexities of each by taking up key elements about their origin, their structure, their epistemology and their own limits. The objective is to show their borderline character and the possible interstitial spaces that arise from the confrontation of opposites, an essential particularity of both disciplines. What do those interstitial spaces that emerge, understood as symbolic places that arise from such confrontation? Are they analogical spaces? Could we also speak of an analogical comparatist? These are some of the questions that emerge from our reflection and through which we will navigate along these lines.

Keywords : Analogical Hermeneutics; Comparative Literature; frontiers; interstices; interpreter or reader.
