Abstract

CRUZ CORTES, Barut. The house in the cinematographic imaginary. An approach from the anthropological regard. Cuicuilco. Rev. cienc. antropol. [online]. 2022, vol.29, n.85, pp.239-262.  Epub June 05, 2023. ISSN 2448-8488.

Inside the Cinematographic Imaginary, and its different genera, there is a vast field of topics and scenes that are or could be interesting to analyze by anthropology. In that regard, the objective of the present text is to make a brief approach about the “house” in the cinema. For this, a filmic and bibliographic study from 120 movies was made, from which 31 were chosen, each with different cinematographic genera. As a result, an initial taxonomic proposal is presented using 12 different cinematic representations of houses, arranged from an anthropologic sight, in five main dimensions. In addition to the proposed taxonomy, some reflections are presented as well as key points to examine in upcoming specialized works.

Keywords : cinema; imaginaries; house; home; topophilia; topophobia.
