Resumen

PENA AHUMADA, Nuria Beatriz  y  AGUILAR RASCON, Oscar Cuauhtémoc. Women's Leadership in Micro and Small Businesses. Investig. adm. [online]. 2025, vol.54, n.135, 00003.  Epub 16-Jun-2025. ISSN 2448-7678.  https://doi.org/10.35426/iav54n135.03.

The objective is to analyze the impact of women's leadership on the processes of entry, transformation and exit in MSEs. The research method is quantitative explanatory, where variables are not intervened, applying 18,776 surveys through a simple random probability sampling in 96 zones of influence in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru between February and April 2023.

The results show empirical evidence validating the hypothesis, where women's leadership focuses mainly on generating competitive advantages (brand consolidation, product and service improvement, etc.). The originality lies in the number of variables analyzed, the regions addressed and the segmentation in the size of the companies. The findings follow differences in priorities within companies. The limitation is that the results are not presented according to economic sectors or profiles of the women entrepreneurs.
