Abstract

CESENA-ROMERO, Paola Itzel; GARCIA-RIVERA, Blanca Rosa  and  OLGUIN-TIZNADO, Jesús Everardo. Industry 4.0: Adaptability and Barriers in the Automotive Industry: Biblio-Hermographic Analysis. Investig. adm. [online]. 2024, vol.53, n.134, 00005.  Epub Dec 07, 2024. ISSN 2448-7678.  https://doi.org/10.35426/iav53n134.05.

The objective of this research is to identify patterns in the literature to develop innovative strategies in research and development through a bibliographic-hemerographic analysis. Concepts such as authors, countries, citations, and keywords in articles about the automotive industry, adaptability, and barriers in the context of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) were analyzed in two databases. A growing interest in barriers and I4.0 was evidenced, highlighting the importance of integrated systems, cyber-physical systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT) related to adaptability in the automotive industry. The research stands out for examining key concepts for the efficient implementation of I4.0 in the automotive sector. However, a limitation in the depth of the articles is recognized, suggesting future, more detailed investigations, such as systematic reviews. The main findings highlight a growing interest in I4.0 and the relevance of sustainability and leadership in countries like India and China.

Keywords : Industry 4.0; Automotive industry; Barriers; State of Art; Adaptability.
