LUCA MARTI, Marcos Tonatiuh de. Cappitalismo: la uberización del trabajo. Estud. sociol [online]. 2026, vol.44, e2919. Epub 20-Abr-2026. ISSN 2448-6442. https://doi.org/10.24201/es.2026v44.e2919.
In a context where the virtual realm is becoming increasingly relevant in everyday life, it is necessary to unravel the integration of apps and platforms into the world of work, in this case, Uber. Through an ethnographic approach, Natalia Radetich sheds light on the labor crisis that shapes the way work is perceived and how the figure of the worker is gradually being replaced by that of a “partner”. Radetich provides a relevant and precise description of Uber’s accumulation strategies in an era where the virtual is taking up more space, leaving us with more questions on the table: How does Uber operate? Why is the partner model different from that of a worker? And how is control over the labor process presented and exercised in the digital age?
