This article analyzes the growing presence of women in the professional field of architecture in Mexico, informal mechanisms of gender segregation, and women’s strategies for advancing in a profession traditionally considered masculine. It presents the results of a qualitative study based on in-depth interviews with female architects and key players in the professional field. The analysis focuses on women’s experiences in three dimensions: professional training, entry into the labor market, and interaction in the workplace. This study seeks to contribute to the discussion on the processes of feminization of occupations and labor markets.
