Abstract

This paper aims to unravel the formation of an eco-technocratic device itself be-hind the “techno-ecological practices” of some integrated agro-food producers. These practices are based on technologies that are at stake frames articulating power of these actors in connection to world agrofoods markets. The work has an interpretive emphasis and is based on analysis of information generated from in-depth interviews to businessmen of the wine industry, canning, oil and livestock with international commercial insertion and located in the oasis of Mendoza river in Argentina. Throughout the paper we analyze certain “techno-ecological practices” that are embedded and how a specific device off positions and differentiates.
