In an increasingly dynamic and competitive business environment, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) require innovative strategies to improve their performance and sustainability. This study analyzes the influence of emotional intelligence on organizational competitiveness, highlighting its role in decision-making, talent management, and business resilience. Using a quantitative approach, a linear regression analysis was applied to a sample of 385 MSMEs in Durango, Mexico, evaluating how dimensions of emotional intelligence such as emotional self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and self-motivation impact organizational performance. The results show a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and competitiveness, indicating that the development of emotional competencies in employees and leaders enhances productivity, strengthens organizational climate, and enables better adaptation to market changes. It is concluded that the implementation of strategies to enhance emotional intelligence in MSMEs can lead to a sustainable competitive advantage, contributing to business success in a context of high uncertainty.
