This documentary work aims to generate a review of the legal framework that has protected and protects mangrove ecosystems; as well as formulate the bases that can serve as technical and legislative support to manage the current state of the environment and preserve its rights, through a clear and detailed analysis of the information published in the different governmental and non-governmental organizations in charge of protecting mangrove ecosystems at the International, National, State and Municipal levels. Subsequently, the environmental management carried out in the mangrove ecosystems is analyzed; which implies the regulations and management strategies implemented for its conservation. Identifying trends, gaps and ambiguities in the information analyzed, reaching the conclusion that most of the mangrove ecosystems in the state of Jalisco are completely abandoned by the environmental authorities, favoring the reduction of their surface area.
