Resumen
MAY-LOPEZ, Sandra S. et al. Chronic upper gastrointestinal tract bleeding secondary to endoscopically diagnosed aortoenteric fistula. Case report. Endoscopia [online]. 2025, vol.37, n.2, pp.63-65. Epub 28-Oct-2025. ISSN 2444-6483. https://doi.org/10.24875/end.25000011.
Bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract secondary to an aortoenteric fistula in a hemodynamically stable patient is a diagnostic possibility that should be suspected when there is a surgical history of aortic aneurysm. The multidisciplinary approach is of utmost importance for timely and early treatment, since, in most cases, these patients have a poor prognosis with high short-term mortality.
