Resumen
MARINEZ-RENTERIA, Jesús M. et al. Lumen-apposing metal stent for the treatment of refractory post-surgical digestive stenosis. Endoscopia [online]. 2025, vol.37, n.2, pp.51-53. Epub 28-Oct-2025. ISSN 2444-6483. https://doi.org/10.24875/end.24000018.
Refractory post-surgical gastrointestinal strictures are a challenge to endoscopic treatment. The use of covered esophageal self-expanding metal stents represents an alternative in case of refractoriness. However, a technical limitation is that they require a space greater than 2 cm from the cricopharyngeal to be placed. We present the case of a woman with a post-surgical stricture of a colonic ascent, immediately adjacent to the cricopharyngeal, treated with a luminal apposition metal stent.
