Abstract

MORALES-ALEJANDRE, Mariana  and  RODRIGUEZ BARRAZA, Adriana. Violence from Psychology: The Richness of Borders. Cienc. ergo-sum [online]. 2024, vol.31, e227.  Epub Aug 04, 2025. ISSN 2395-8782.  https://doi.org/10.30878/ces.v31n0a12.

This work presents the trend in which violence studies in Psychology are grouped and elaborated to reflect the contributions between disciplines. Academic texts were reviewed to identify research that used approaches to violence with the use of examples, from Social Psychology, regarding Public Health, and with animal research in order to group them and make a critical review. It analyzes how research can be developed to deepen the phenomenon of violence with theories of subjectivity and integrate interdisciplinary knowledge, impacting the knowledge and intervention of the phenomenon. It is concluded that the work between borders is an option to broaden the explanation of the phenomenon of violence.
