Abstract

CHAVEZ GONZALEZ, Martha Eugenia; SALDANA ZEPEDA, Dayna Priscila  and  PRECIADO JIMENEZ, Susana Aurelia. Housing and strategic gender needs. A study on academic woman using exact logistic regression models. Cienc. ergo-sum [online]. 2024, vol.31, e223.  Epub Aug 04, 2025. ISSN 2395-8782.  https://doi.org/10.30878/ces.v31n0a8.

In this paper we examine the relationship between the family structure of female academics at a public university in Mexico, in determining both home ownership and the perception of comfort of the house rooms. We use the exact logistic regression model to describe the relationship between the variables. Data was collected through an online survey. The results show that home ownership is achieved independently of the family structure. In contrast, the family structure explains the perception of comfort of the house rooms.

Keywords : strategic gender needs; housing gender needs; habitability.
