BARONIO, Alfredo M.; BUCHIERI, Flavio E. y VIANCO, Ana M.. Financial inclusion in Latin America: levels, characterization and international convergence. Cienc. ergo-sum [online]. 2024, vol.31, e218. Epub 04-Feb-2025. ISSN 2395-8782. https://doi.org/10.30878/ces.v31n0a3.
The level of Financial Inclusion in Latin America is characterized. The data table lists countries with their financial and socioeconomic characteristics. The methodological path, in a first stage, integrates the exploratory analysis of main components, the hierarchical classification of the observations and the grouping of countries according to the observed similarity; in a second stage, it proposes an econometric model of ordered response to inform the probability of convergence of the groups of countries furthest behind to the most developed in financial inclusion. It is concluded that the incorporation of unbanked population segments requires the development of commercial strategies for financial services; in a context where regulatory authorities acquire a deeper and more active role.
