The purpose of this text is to deepen in the measurement of the value of manufacturing offshoring activities in the United States and Mexico from 2013 to 2018 and identify of the key branches in this tendency. To do so, we use data from bilateral input-output tables disaggregated to 18 sectors of economic activity and 15 subsectors of manufacturing activity. The results reveal that the value of production transfers received by the United States amounts to about 66 billion dollars and in Mexico to almost 1 billion dollars in this period; likewise, the key branches for the latest are motor vehicles (48 %), food, beverages and tobacco (41 %), electrical products (6 %) and electronic products (3%).
