The objective of this research is to analyze the gender wage gap throughout the wage distribution in regions of Mexico. This applies to the methodologyMelly (2005) Survey of Occupation and Employment (ENOE) 2005-2015. The results show that in Mexico, and its regions gender wage inequality has declined, although this is against women. Most of the differences can not be explained by productive characteristics, accentuating at the top of the wage distribution in the most exposed to trade liberalization regions.
