Abstract

SILVA-APARICIO, Marisa et al. Ecological characterization of the coffee plantations of the me’phaa el aserradero community, Iliatenco, Guerrero. Ecosistemas y recur. agropecuarios [online]. 2021, vol.8, n.1, e2670.  Epub Oct 10, 2022. ISSN 2007-901X.  https://doi.org/10.19136/era.a8n1.2670.

In various indigenous communities, coffee is the main commercial product that generates economic income. The objective of this work was to characterize the composition of trees, arthropods and microscopic fungi associated with the coffee cultivation system of the el aserradero community, Iliatenco Guerrero. Samples were carried out in nine plots of cooperating producers. In addition, the variations in temperature and precipitation from 2000 to 2019 were analyzed. The coffee plantations of el aserradero integrate 19 species of trees; in addition, 1 774 insects of 20 orders, 113 families and 283 species were collected. 33% of the reviewed leaves showed rust damage, 17% rooster’s eye and 16% iron stain. The percentage of fungal infestation on the leaves was 3.76% with a severe degree of 31.2%. Temperature and precipitation show increasing trends in the first and decreasing in the second.
