Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (DM2) is a disease associated to risk factors, characterized by high morbidity and mortality. The objective was to predict the probability of the population of a medical office in Cuba to develop DM2. It was an observational, cross-sectional, retrospective and analytical study, corresponding to the predictive level, developed in 628 patients. Binary logistic regression was used, with the support of SPSS 25. As a result, it was possible to predict the probability of the population getting sick with DM2. In conclusion, it was found that those with genetic predisposition and arterial hypertension had a higher risk of developing DM2, but the same did not occur with age and sex, whose relationships were not significant.
