I analyze the learning and work experiences of the graduates of the Sustainable Development and Language and Culture programs of the Intercultural University of Chiapas, Oxchuc campus, an institution that promotes community connection and intercultural education. An analysis was made from 2011 to 2023, where learning by competencies is discussed to develop capabilities and skills from the learning territories. Due to the complex situation in which intercultural education finds itself and the professional obstacles of university students, it is proposed that it is important to strengthen joint actions between the actors involved, rethink the territories of intercultural learning and promote favorable policies to improve the professional situation of intercultural graduates.
