Offerings for the Rain, explores the coexistence of two types of rituals in southern Chiapas: pre-Hispanic ritual tours and Catholic pilgrimages. The book is based on an ethnographic study in La Trinitaria, Chiapas, and offers a detailed description of the rituals, interpretations of the traditional attendants and a historical-anthropological analysis. It shows the transition from ritual routes to pilgrimages and highlights the importance of preserving Mexican ancestral traditions and valuing cultural diversity.
