The article analyzes the ethical and political impact of the virtual in shaping personal identity and intersubjective ties. The study moves between building profiles on Facebook and successful dating sites on the web, social mobilization of activists to political revolutions in which virtual media played an important role, to the shameless display or restriction of the most terrible violence to account for the importance of the assertion "to be is to be perceived" and the impact its acceptance has on our lifestyles.
