In this paper we analyze the contributions are at the thought of Erich Fromm that allow us to trace an anthropological concept "paradoxical" and that, in turn, allows a proposal outlining key ethics "negative". It seeks to offer an ideal of humanity or good life, but allows that analysis question, since the very human negativity (the in-human, human equally), our expectations of humanization, supported by the reversal of the Terence sentence: Homo sum, humani nihil a me alienum...
