We report the first formal record of the Aztec Thrush (Ridgwayia pinicola) for the state of Queretaro, Mexico, on an oak-pine forest west of the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve. This report is one of the few recordes in the Sierra Madre Oriental, all of which confirm that it is a resident species in the area but with a low abundance.
