This research, illustrated with eight unpublished photographs that belong to a private archive, aims to offer a new look at the German community in Mexico during the Porfiriato: aspects of their social life, their cultural customs, amusements, and their need to affirm their Germanness, recreating places and spaces to share their culture, trying to feel not so far away from home.
