The purpose of this article is a demonstration of the dynamic of the geopolitical and military changes in the Gulf of Honduras. The region which since its discovery by the Spaniards in the 16th century to contemporary times has been considered as a frontier of political-administrative as well as military conflicts, where firstly confronted different Hispanic interests, that later converted the area of the Imperial frictions between Spain and Great Britain.
