Objective:

Methodology:
Unit root and cointegration tests are applied and long-term relationships between variables are estimated with robust methods.
Results:
Evidence is shown that the series are integrated of order one, that there are longterm equilibrium relationships, and that the Kuznets financial curve hypothesis is valid for the mexican economy.
Limitations:
The availability of data and not considering other variables such as education and politics in this study.
Originality:
This research contributes to the literature by analyzing the impact of foreign direct investment, economic complexity and financial development on income inequality.
